😱 It’s true! We’re opening our site up, so that everyone can view the stories and articles on parallax.asia

Why are we doing this, you ask?

It comes down to the reason we started Parallax. We want to amplify Southeast Asian perspectives, narratives and voices. And it’s hard to do that when the best of those voices are locked away behind a paywall.

Removing the paywall realigns our content strategy with our mission. It’s a win-win for us and the photographers whose great work we feature.

We still need your support! As our membership grows we can further this mission. We already have some great work lined up over the coming months; check out our latest stories here.

If you are a member, it’s your contribution that makes all of this possible.

When we started Parallax, our aim was to be able to support photographers and get their work out there into the world. Opening access for everyone is an important step in realising this mission. We want this work to be available to everyone, and funded by members who care about the photography we publish and the issues discussed.

Members, thank you for supporting us thus far. Your contributions are invaluable. We still pay photographers, and your membership makes a huge difference to the financial cost of running the site, and means that those who truly cannot afford to become members can still access the stories and articles we publish. If you have any questions or comments, we’d love to hear from you. Please drop us a message, or reach out on Instagram. You can still log into the site as normal to manage your account, and we’re working on growing our offerings for you, our staunchest supporters. Stay tuned!
